AudioBox.fm Desktop is a tool that creates a “private cloud” within the AudioBox system. This way a PC can securely connect a folder on his hard drive to AudioBox, making it available for streaming on any device without having to upload anything in the cloud. AudioBox.fm Desktop scans the selected folder, fetches the metadata, and sends them to the AudioBox servers, compiling the Desktop playlist you then see in the player.
